Irving-Las Colinas has another reason to celebrate.
According to The Dallas Morning News, 24 Dallas-Fort Worth companies earned a spot on the 2026 Fortune 500 list. That local showing helped put Texas back at the top nationally for Fortune 500 corporate headquarters.
Even better for our community, eight of those 24 D-FW companies are based right here in Irving-Las Colinas. That means Irving-Las Colinas represents one-third of the region's Fortune 500 headquarters on this year's list.
Congratulations to our Irving and Las Colinas neighbors who made the list:
- McKesson
- Caterpillar
- Builders FirstSource
- Celanese
- Commercial Metals Company
- Fluor
- Kimberly-Clark
- Vistra
A special congratulations goes to McKesson, the Las Colinas-based pharmaceutical distributor that ranked No. 8 nationally. Having one of the country's highest-ranked companies headquartered here is a major point of pride for North Texas.
These companies span health care, construction, energy, manufacturing, engineering, consumer goods, and building materials. Their success brings jobs, investment, visibility, and long-term economic strength to the area.
For residents, this recognition is more than a business headline. Strong employers help support local restaurants, retail, housing, schools, nonprofits, and small businesses. When major companies choose to grow here, the whole community benefits.
Irving-Las Colinas continues to stand out because of its central location, access to DFW International Airport, major highways, transit, hotels, entertainment, neighborhoods, and office centers. It is a place where companies can scale and where people can build a life around opportunity.
Congratulations again to all 24 D-FW companies on the 2026 Fortune 500 list, and especially to our eight Irving-Las Colinas neighbors. Their success is a win for the entire community and another reminder that Irving-Las Colinas remains one of the strongest places to live, work, and invest in North Texas.
